Ugark Vibes

Every handle in the village is the same yellow crank. Each one asks something different of you.

An old car coughs awake. A bucket swings beneath a village well. Dough stretches across a kitchen table. A crane carries one brick at a time.

Ugark Vibes is a crank-driven narrative village adventure for Playdate. Return with Igran and Ofia to Ugark, and help bring their weathered family home back to life by hand. Drive with Igran, cook with Ofia, and watch Airy, Illie, Iska, and Aruska continue their own routines around the house and courtyard.

This is not a menu of identical circular meters. Each mechanism gives the crank a different physical meaning: pull and settle a stubborn starter, choose a gear by absolute position, reverse out of a grinder jam, find a street organ’s rhythm, or stop a swinging well bucket at exactly the right moment.

Mistakes cost time or make a mess, but they are meant to become small stories—not reasons to lose an entire session.

What is in the current build

• A connected arrival and house-restoration vertical slice, from hand-starting Igran’s VAZ-2121 to completing three visible sections of the family home.
• A generated top-down family yard where all six household members remain present, the player switches between Igran and Ofia, and the selected adult visibly walks to each activity.
• Distinct crank interactions for driving, drawing and carrying water, grinding meat, rolling dough, cutting spaghetti, folding pelmeni, playing a street organ, and placing individual bricks with a building crane.
• Two tilt-controlled family moments: shape meatballs with Ofia and aim the sky inside one of Igran’s playful framed stories.
• Connected water, food, energy, coins, found parts, bricks, house progress, and versioned save data.
• Recoverable jams, spills, over-folds, and dropped loads, plus continued free play after the current house goal.
• Procedural and generated 1-bit scenes, recorded and synthesized sound effects, background music, and a crank-synchronised street-organ performance
